Oaxaca is not visited -
it is honored.”

A journey into ancestral medicine, sacred cuisine,
and the spiritual power of southern Mexico

Oaxaca, Mexico - Hosted by Carol Steele

Culture. Flavor. Connection.

I invite you to a transformative experience. You don’t come to discover Oaxaca. You come to remember yourself through it.

I fell in love with Oaxaca.
This place has helped me see the heart of my work more clearly: honoring living cultures, immersing in local art and tradition, savoring incredible food and music, and—above all—spending meaningful time with the people who shape these experiences.

I have beautiful plans for you here: quiet mornings, vibrant markets, late-night music, and of course, mezcal. We’ll walk through timeworn streets, visit artists and friends, and share meals that stay with you long after the trip ends. I found a wonderful hotel, Los Pilares located in the the Jalatlaco neighborhood, walking distance to just about everything!

If you’re drawn to color, rhythm, craft, and connection — you’ll feel right at home. I’ll introduce you to the best of Oaxaca: not just places, but people. People who are generous, creative, rooted, and radiant.

I can’t wait to share this magic with you, your family, and your friends.
Let’s explore it together.

We have some excellent local guides, and Carol has been going there for a few years now, connecting with some of the most excellent local artisans, Ancestral Mezcal makers, weavers that are continuing the traditional ways, cooking classes, walking tours and meeting some of the excellent and delicious street food, and experiencing some of the best food that Oaxaca has to offer.

We have beautiful small hotels, and are able to create small group itineraries and experiences with locals from all walks of life.
